Единая система изоляции токоведущих частей, которая в условиях, предусмотренных настоящим стандартом, обеспечивает такую же степень защиты от поражения электрическим током, как и двойная изоляция.

электрическое защитное разделение
Отделение одной электрической цепи от другой при помощи двойной или усиленной изоляции, или основной изоляции и электрического защитного экрана.
Электрическое защитное разделение используют в тех случаях, когда следует разделить электрические цепи так, чтобы в случае повреждения основной изоляции опасной токоведущей части в одной электрической цепи не возникло её электрическое соединение с проводящими частями других электрических цепей. В нормативной и правовой документации установлено, что электрическое защитное разделение выполнено, если электрические цепи отделены друг от друга при помощи двойной или усиленной изоляции, а также посредством основной изоляции и электрического защитного экрана, который подлежит защитному заземлению. Электрическое защитное разделение реализовано в разделительных трансформаторах и в безопасных разделительных трансформаторах.
